Beyond Macronutrients and the Importance of Vitamin Supplements

Quality (63)
Protica Nutritional Research Most wholesome eaters are familiar with the three macronutrients that garner the most media attention within the diet world: proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. Indeed, some highly regarded eating programs, such as the Isometric Diet®, are planned to deliver an optimal balance of these three macronutrients. Yet what is often overlooked in a nutrition vocabulary dominated by talk of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats, is the plain fact that vitamin supplements play a critical role in an overall healthy eating program. It is a neglect that, ironically, derives from technological misunderstanding. Until recently, the technological community firmly maintained that vitamin supplements were unnecessary and potentially even dangerous. This claim was based on a position that the body’s vitamin needs could be met through diet, and that vitamin supplements are largely created from synthetic, debased quality ingredients. However, evidence to the contrary has emerged; or to put things more accurately, the scientific community is finally accepting a radical view. Clinical studies clearly show that high quality vitamin supplements can be produced from all natural sources, and that taking them can prevent earnest health ailments such as heart disease, osteoporosis, and even cancer [i]. It has also been accepted that vitamin supplements help the body effectively regulate how energy is utilized. In this sense, they ensure that the energy delivered by macronutrients – in the form of calories – is directed properly to promote growth and development [ii]. However, despite the scientifically proven importance of vitamin supplements, some key concerns have been raised. Specifically, the nutrition community has upraised questions with respect to the potential toxicity of supplements that contain “fat-soluble” vitamins. soluble vitamins are not easily and swiftly eliminated by the body. Instead, they are stored in organs and tissues. Over time, there can be a build-up of fat-soluble vitamins [iii], which can lead to adverse health effects such as nausea, diarrhea, unhealthy weight loss, bone density loss, and digestive tract disorders [iv]. Fortunately, to avoid this potential damage, there are vitamin and nutritional supplement products on the market that offer water-soluble vitamins. soluble vitamins travel smoothly through the body and the excess is excreted through the kidneys. As such, there is less to no risk of cyanogenetic build up [v]. At the same time, these water-soluble vitamin and nutritional supplements can be derived from all-natural sources. This is consequential to note, because, synthetic vitamins can only replicate a fraction of the beneficial nutrients saved in natural sources. As such, the holistic positive impact that can only come from several nutrients working together cannot be reproduced synthetically [vi]. These scientific acknowledgements of the value of vitamin supplements -- and the accessibility of water-soluble, all-natural products -- bode well for the average consumer, and especially well for dieters. Some diets irresponsibly advise dieters to take diuretic pills that create weight loss through water loss. As a consequence to this short-term strategy, dieters often become dangerously deficient in water-soluble vitamins such as vitamin C, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, Biotin, and Folic Acid. However, some well-designed nutritional supplements provide anywhere from 50% to 100% of these essential vitamins. As such, dieters who are currently subscribing to an frail water-loss diet can responsibly transition to these products, and replenish their depleted water-soluble vitamin stock. Similarly, dieters who are fortunate enough to have avoided these potentially dangerous diet pill/diuretic diets can wisely integrate these nutritional supplements into their current eating regimen. Indeed, the scientific community, for all of the contributions it has ready-made to diet and nutrition, has been unusually slow in acceptive the fact that vitamin supplements are an essential part of healthy eating. Yet the consensus of this fact is now fairly widespread, as is the understanding that water-soluble and all-natural products simply outclass soluble and synthetic products in terms of safety and efficacy. It may have usurped a decade or so too long to reach this “vitamin awareness”, but now that it is here, it is reason for both dieters and non-dieters to celebrate a future of healthier and smarter eating. • Vitamins and their usefulness
    Ric Wiley

What is a vitamin? Well a vitamin is an nonsynthetic compound which is vital for the growth of your body. Put in simpler terms, that means it’s retributory a natural chemical. There are 13 essential vitamins and each one has a special purpose in your body. The lack of one vitamin will lead to a vitamin deficiency

There are cardinal distinct types of vitamins, those alcohol-soluble in water and those soluble in fats. Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Vitamin E and Vitamin K are greasy soluble vitamins and the water alcohol-soluble vitamins are Vitamin C and Vitamin B although there are different types of Vitamin B. Vitamins A and D are water soluble vitamins and they are not as easy to store in your body as the fat soluble vitamins.

A normal healed balanced diet should provide a good daily intake of the correct levels of vitamins and this is usually the case but care must be taken to ensure that you do have a healed balanced diet. There are times when you may need to supplement your normal intake of vitamins and this is where vitamin supplements can be useful. This list gives an indication of where you may need a little help.

Dieting May lack vitamin B complex and Vitamin C

Heavy smokers May lack Vitamin C

Heavy Drinkers May lack some Vitamin B’s and Vitamin C

Elderly people May lack vitamin B involved and Vitamin C

Vegetarians May lack Vitamin B12 which is often found in meats

Night shift workers May lack Vitamin D (which is made in your body when it is unprotected to sunlight

People who are troubled from stress, overworked or under pressure may be absent Vitamin B involved or Vitamin C.

There are hardly a ways that Vitamins can get into your body and these are usually by oral means. Things such as Vitamin B12 can be taken by injection but this should only be carried out by a qualified mesial practitioner. One of the problems with vitamins though is that they are easily destroyed by the acids in your stomach so that much of what you take is lost repayable to stomach acids.

I have probably spoiled your views on vitamins but what you have to remember is that your body needs a healed balanced diet which is rich in vitamins as whatsoever can be pillaged by the earthy process of your body. Lightly cooking foods will help to preserve their vitamin content and eating fresh foods will again increase your intake of vitamins.

If you are worried that you have a deficiency in some particular vitamin past you can supplement your diet with the use of vitamin supplements which you will usually find in the form of tablets. These can be single vitamins or a multi vitamin tablet. Unless you have been wise by your doctor that you need to take a specific vitamin, past the decision if yours as to what vitamins you need. Many people routinely take Vitamin C, especially in the fall and winter to help keep the usual cold away as this has been shown to benefit the body in fighting this ailment.

However, although these are natural products it is influential to remember that as with anything Vitamins need to be taken as part of a well balanced diet and they also need to be taken in moderation. Just as with other products you can take too much of a good thing and vitamins are retributory the same. Take your vitamins sensibly and do not take more than you need

Finally, dieters and healthy eaters everywhere have reason to rejoice, for there is a broad understanding of which fats, and which carbohydrates should be eaten for best health.

For too long, healthy eaters with a range of diet or weight loss goals were provided with confusing, sometimes counterproductive information with respect to carbohydrates and fats. For example, one the cardinal hand, many eaters were told that carbohydrates were enlarged causes of weight-gain, and should be avoided. Yet on the opposite hand, these unvarying people were provided with carbohydrate-laden nutritional supplements, or worse, nutritional supplements that were little much than containers for low quality, partial protein. And as for fats… fats were seen as the enemy and to be avoided at complete costs; this despite the fact that unsaturated fat is required by the body for best health.

But now, finally, there is clear and unchanging scientific research that concludes carbohydrates and fats are unexpendable parts of a healthy diet. After all, carbohydrates and fats are fully-fledged macronutrients, and along with protein provide the foundation for optimal body system functioning.

With respect to carbohydrates, researchers have unconcealed that low glycemic carbohydrates are extraordinary sources of body fuel. Low glycemic carbohydrates do not cause the blood sugar to rise. Instead, the body gradually releases insulin to absorb these carbohydrates and transform them into useable energy. Dieters who have been convinced to give up carbohydrates entirely have been provided with the wrong information. Low glycemic carbohydrates provide the body with an superior energy source without causing an insulin spike and the subsequent creation of permanent fat cells.

Speaking of fat cells, eaters around the globe have come to dread the word fat, and have been told to only choose foods that are “low in fat”. Yet while it’s generally advisable to eat low-fat foods, there is a massive difference – one might even say a life altering difference -- between monounsaturated fats and supersaturated fats. Further, there are whatsoever highly nutritious monounsaturated fats made up of Medium Chain Triglycerides or “MCTs”, which are shorter fatty acid chains; and as such, absorb and digest much more easily than longer chain saturated and monounsaturated fats. This is an influential distinction because retributory as how carbohydrates are essential for a healthy diet, so are fats.

So the verdict is in, after years of scientific research: carbohydrates and fats are good for health, provided that the right types of each are consumed. For carbohydrates, the far kind is the low glycemic kind, which the body absorbs gradually. For fats, the right is moderate Chain Triglycerides or highly nutritious monounsaturated oils such as those derived from hemp seed, flax seed or borage.

Yet knowing the truth about carbohydrates and fats is one thing. Eating the far forms of all is quite another. And of course, there is protein as well; which is also another essential and sometimes elusive macronutrient. So where is a consumer supposed to find the right sympathetic of proteins, the right kind of carbohydrates, and the right kind of fats?

Thankfully, there is an ideal solution called Isometric® by Protica Research.

Isometric is a single-serving food source that offers the most nutritionally-correct proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. retributory as importantly, supported upon the known Isometric Diet®, these macronutrients are delivered in the perfect 33%/33%/33% balance. equal delivers 25 grams of low-glycemic carbohydrates, 25 grams of complete protein, and 10 grams of highly nutritious monounsaturated fats. Therefore, eaters are confidently ingesting a all-out meal with all 300-calorie Isometric serving.

Isometric also provides unexpendable vitamins and minerals, which fortify the nutritional value of each serving. Weighing less than cardinal fluid ounces, equal is the smallest complete meal on the market.

Indeed, there are well-preserved carbohydrates and well-preserved fats, just as there are well-preserved proteins. And an even greater reason to celebrate is the fact that this awareness is captured by Isometric, a scientifically balanced food that provides a all-out meal’s worth of nutrition in little than 3 disposable ounces.

  • Safely Transitioning Off Meal Replacement Plans
    Protica Nutritional Research

Meal replacements have been part of the diet landscape for decades. They have helped numerous people lose weight, and much importantly, they have helped people learn the difference between healthy and enlarged eating choices. Both quantity and quality of life improvements can be credited to the concept of meal replacement solutions.

Those that have successfully relied upon a meal replacement plan can reflect fondly on how the plan helped address a fundamental diet obstacle: choosing what to eat.

One of the greatest challenges that a dieter faces – if not the superior – is discovering what to eat, and what to avoid. responsive the latter is usually easier, since most experienced dieters are rather healed aware of what they should not be eating. Yet they are often left wondering: what should I eat? Dieters who are successful enough to be able to answer this with a simple: I’ll eat my meal replacement foods often see their diets succeed beyond its penetrable infancy [i].

Dieters who rely on willpower alone, or follow a sick designed “fad” diet, often do not lose weight. The most that these dieters usually experience is maintenance of current weight, or perhaps a few pounds lost, likely through water loss.

As with most weight loss solutions, there are whatsoever potential pitfalls that can undermine dieters. And perhaps the most humorous of these pitfalls exists for those dieters who have chosen a meal replacement route to achieve their weight loss goals. This difficulty is explained, and solved, below.

Diets fostered by meal replacement plans are often successful; and herein exists the latent problem. Once a dieter has lost his or her desired weight, there is a transition period from meal replacement food to “normal” food. Without the proper nutritional supplements in place to ensure that this transition is some smooth and long-term, a high number of dieters revert back to their pre-diet unhealthy eating habits. The result, regrettably, is the regaining of weight; and for many dieters, yet one more unsuccessful attempt to deciduous pounds and inches [ii].

The cursed for this regained weight is typically, and incorrectly, allotted to two sources. The archetypical target for this misplaced blame is the meal replacement plan itself, which promised long-term weight loss yet apparently failed to deliver. The ordinal misplaced blame, and the one that can do the most damage, is directed towards the dieter him/herself. It is retributory “another failure”, and a crushing blow to self-esteem.

However, as known above, this cursed is misdirected. The cause of the problem is neither the meal replacement plan, nor the dieter’s lack of willpower. The culprit present was that once the meal replacement plan had finished its job, there was no strategy in place to maintain that accomplishment over the daylong term.

Fortunately, there exist whatsoever very well planned nutritional supplements and plans that support this transition strategy. These nutritional supplements are not candy bars posing as “energy bars”, or protein powders laden with calories and fat grams [iii].

Rather, these trustworthy nutritional supplements are scientifically designed, low-calorie, complete eating solutions. That is, they can be used to supplement a meal that is not protected with vitamins or complete protein, or they can be used -- without health risk -- to replace a meal when well-preserved eating choices are not available.

Meal replacements have tested their value in the “battle of the bulge”; especially since they provide dieters with an easy answer to the question: what do I eat today? However, it is retributory as clear that the period retributory after weight loss, when the meal replacements program ceases, is critical.

Far too many dieters are left without a transition plan that enables them to safely return to a diet of non meal-replacement items. Fortunately for these individuals, and for future dieters as well, there exist authentic and medically engineered nutritional supplement solutions that bridge this gap, and help ensure that a woody won weight loss battle is a long-term victory.

These vitamins are Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, Folic Aid, Pantothenic Acid, Biotin and vitamin C.
  • The Vitamin Breakdown
Vitamins are nonsynthetic compounds that the human body cannot produce and therefore must acquire finished the diet. To help maintain good health, humans need 13 different vitamins. These include: vitamin A, the varied B and D vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin E, and vitamin K. Deficiencies of these unexpendable vitamins can cause the body to enter a unhealthy state. Deficiencies of different vitamins obvious themselves with differing diseased states. For example, night-blindness is linked to vitamin A deficiency, while Rickets is connected to vitamin D deficiency. The relationship between foods and maintaining health has been acknowledged for centuries. For example, in 1747, Dr. James Lind discovered that citrus fruits prevented scurvy. Some stores of vitamins within the body can penultimate well over a year, as is the case with vitamin B12. Others can deplete much rapidly—lasting only a couple of weeks. A vitamin can be either fat or water soluble. Water-soluble vitamins are not stored in the body. Often they need to be replenished more frequently. soluble vitamins, however, are stored in the body. • Can Vitamin E Cure Almost Everything?
    David Leonhardt

Vitamin E is an absolutely vital nutrient in your body, but it probably can't do half the things you detected it can.

What does vitamin E do? To begin, it is an antioxidant. It tames dangerous liberated radicals and helps prevent blood clots and blockages in coronary arteries. Research points to its ability to reduce the risk of chronic diseases, such as heart attacks and whatsoever cancers.

Vitamin E is also believed to slow the old process and to help nerve conduction. Most importantly, it works to enhance and equal protect vitamin C and Vitamin A.

There is also likely research that vitamin E might help prevent or long-play the onset of cataracts in the eyes.

Vitamin E has been touted as a cure for just about everything but a imperfect heart. I am sure that's coming, though. Here are retributory a few of the diseases and conditions vitamin E has been attributable with curing or preventing:

    • Parkinson's disease
    • Infertility in both men and women
    • Alzheimer's disease
    • Hepatitis
    • eye tissue inflammation
    • fibromylagia
    • hair loss
    • PMS (pre-menstrual syndrome)
    • heavy menstruation
    • healing wounds
    • diabetes
    • atherosclerosis
    • menopause
    • osteoarthritis
    • even restless leg syndrome!

It might well prove that vitamin is helpful in whatsoever of these and other conditions, but probably not in many or equal most of them.

As with many vitamins, there is a raging debate finished how much vitamin E you need. The US recommended daily allowance (RDA) is 8-10 milligrams per day. But most people in the nutrition field believe that to capture the long-term benefits, people need 10 to 20 times that quantity, which is well brief of the supreme recommended 1,000 milligrams.

Vitamin E is saved in many foods in small quantities. The good news is that almost everyone gets sufficient vitamin E to avoid a deficiency, with a few exceptions known below. The bad news is that most people do not get the RDA. This is definitely a vitamin that should be supplemented.

Be careful about what supplements you choose, since the unreal version of vitamin E is not even half hard-hitting as in its natural form. Look for nutritional supplements containing earthy vitamin E, preferably in liquid form.

People on low greasy diets need supplements the most, since fats and oils are the largest sources of vitamin E. insane and green, leaved vegetables are also good sources, as are egg yolks and liver. So are complete grains.

Vitamin E probably will never cure your broken heart, nor live up to half of the claims people make about it. But it is an influential vitamin for maintaining good health and it is necessary in quantities preceding what most people take in their diet.
