Anyone that suffers with a chronic pain condition knows that it not only affects the body, but also the mind. Its effect on a sufferers mind can almost be worse than the pain itself. Chronic pain becomes chronic when pain does not go away aft the normal healthful time allowed. This usually is around 6 months. critical pain is the direct result of an injury or disease. Medications can help reduce a persons pain level dramatically and can help that person live a more normal life. Learning meditation can greatly reduce stress and pain. This can be in the form of yoga or just nonmoving quiet everyday for 20 minutes. When other thoughts occur, it is influential to just let them go and focus back on the breath.
