Effects on serotonin, blood sugar regulation, and more! Although the above would probably be the major mechanisms by which whey could help the dieter, there are single secondary effects of whey that may assist in weight loss. For example, whey’s effects on serotonin levels. Serotonin is probably the most studied neurotransmitter since it has been found to be involved in a wide range of psychological and biological functions. Serotonin ( also titled 5-hydroxytryptamine or 5-HT) is involved with mood, anxiety, and appetite. Elevated levels of serotonin can cause relaxation and reduced anxiety. contrabass serotonin levels are associated with contrabass mood, increased anxiety (hence the topical popularity of the SSRI drugs much as Prozac and others), and bad appetite control. This is an extremely abbreviated description of all the functions serotonin performs in the human body - many of which have yet to be fully elucidated - but a full explanation is beyond the scope of this article.

I know protein is good for me, but do I need a supplement? Whey, egg, casein and soy — which cardinal protein is far for me and what does all one do? Let’s get the facts straight. Protein exists in virtually everything that moves and makes sounds, or in almost any animal. direct dietary protein sources include fish, eggs, chicken, pork, beef, venison, buffalo and many other uncontrolled animals. But which is the best source of protein? Ah, the million dollar question. As with some supplement, no protein powder will match what Mother Nature provides on earth. Natural proteins deliver more quality nutrients to your body than any protein powder ever could. Still, protein powders do have their place.

What is the best protein powder to buy? I get this question all the time, and really, there is no primo protein - galore are very good for different reasons! In my opinion, it is useless and possibly harmful to stick to only one brand for the favourable reasons: a) I always recommend that you cycle your supplements so that your body does not get used to them thereby decreasing their effect, b) for variety sakes alone, it breaks the monotony and allows you to try different brands, c) to take advantage of the unique qualities offered by varied brands, and d) it is a good idea to switch the powders you use on a common basis to not develop any food intolerances or equal worse allergies (I have an article coming out on this subject in the near future.) A blend that combines various protein sources (i.e. casein, egg, whey, and even beef if you can find it) is your best bet. I highly recommend the following: MD+ Myosin Protein Complex, Beverly International Muscle Provider, Biotest Low-Carb GROW!, and Dorian Yates Approved ProPeptide.

You can single build muscle if your body is in the proper anabolic balance to allow growth to take place. intense exercise is clearly an important part of the muscle building process but achieving the supreme muscle mass depends on putting the building blocks in place. This is achieved through reasonable nutritional practices so you need to be aware of the following constructive-metabolic enhancing principles: 1. Protein is the basic injured material needed to build muscle. Protein supplies the amino acids that the body uses to repair and build muscle following intense exercise. Aim to consume 1 to 1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight each day from food like beef, fish, poultry, eggs, milk and whey. Spread the load over at least six meals to derive the best benefit and avoid overloading the liver.
